Cole, Scott, & Kissane seeks an associate attorney to join our First Party Property practice group in Florida. The role involves handling sinkhole, water, wind, fire, and other property damage claims across the state, with responsibilities including depositions, motions, hearings, and trials.

The ideal candidate is a Florida Bar member with strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in Florida.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior litigation experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue dispositive motions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
• Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law
• Prepare pleadings and correspondence
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Provide exemplary legal counsel to clients
