Job summary

Denham Property & Injury Law Firm, a rapidly growing plaintiff-side property insurance and personal injury practice, seeks a property casualty litigator with litigation experience to support our busy team and deliver strong results for clients.

You will manage cases in state and federal courts, supervise staff, handle discovery and depositions, and draft briefs, motions, and pleadings with minimal supervision. Competitive base + bonus; health, vision, life, and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice in North Carolina or South Carolina; both preferred.
• Ability to work independently while handling multiple files.
• At least 1 year of experience in a law firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from intake through resolution.
• Litigate efficiently and resolve cases.
• Oversee paralegals and administrative staff.
• Provide legal counsel by analyzing needs and determining a course of action.
• Prepare documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, motions.
• Analyze client needs, identify solutions, determine case strategies.

What You'll Do

Denham Property & Injury Law Firm is looking for a property casualty litigator, preferably with litigation experience, to assist with our vibrant and growing practice.

What You Need

You must have experience managing cases in state and federal courts; supervising/mentoring staff; managing discovery; taking/defending depositions; drafting complaints, motions, and briefs with little supervision; and preparing for trial. This is also an opportunity for a forward-thinking lawyer to learn about the business of practicing law.

• Pay: The sky really is the limit, but applicants can expect $150,000+ for meeting minimum expectations. We offer a competitive base + Bonus.

• Able to work independently while handling multiple files
• At least 1 year experience working in a law firm environment
• Prior first party property experience is a major bonus
