Job Description
- Analyze complex first-party property insurance claims and coverage issues
- Provide strategic pre-suit coverage analysis and counsel to insurance clients
- Manage first-party property coverage litigation from inception through resolution
- Conduct examinations under oath, depositions, discovery, and case investigations
- Draft pleadings, motions, coverage opinions, and other persuasive legal documents
- Represent clients in mediations, hearings, negotiations, and other litigation proceedings
- Communicate directly with clients regarding strategy, case developments, and coverage issues
- Manage multiple active matters while responding effectively to changing priorities and deadlines
Qualifications
- 2+ years of first-party property coverage experience
- Active North Carolina or South Carolina Bar license
- Experience with insurance policy analysis and coverage disputes
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with depositions, pleadings, motions, and mediations
- Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple matters
- Collaborative, client-focused approach
