Job summary

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• 2–7 years of experience litigating first-party insurance disputes, preferably in property coverages.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Extensive experience drafting pleadings, motions, and written discovery.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, settlements, and all aspects of litigation through final resolution.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take lead while collaborating with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Take primary responsibility for an active first-party litigation docket from inception through resolution.
• Handle caseload with autonomy while receiving support and guidance from partners and colleagues as needed.
• Defend first-party bad faith lawsuits across property, UM/UIM, and related coverages.
• Develop and execute litigation strategy with client representatives from national carriers.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and results.
