Job summary

Mascoma Bank seeks a First Line Testing Analyst to support Retail First Line Risk testing, reviewing branch processes and best practices for self-identified risks and performing periodic branch inspections.

You will partner with the First Line Risk Manager to collect and review data to prepare reports on inspections completed in the Branch Network, helping minimize operational risk through process improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Retail Banking experience.
• Full knowledge of bank products.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be flexible and willing to travel to all branch locations. Driver’s License required.
• Excellent computer skills, knowledgeable in Excel, Word, branch retail applicable systems.
• Must maintain confidentiality and privacy.
• Professional appearance; grooming and dress consistent with MB appearance policy.

Responsibilities

• Inspections of all retail branch banking offices.
• Develop a thorough understanding of retail policies, procedures, programs, and objectives.
• Prepare reports to identify findings and possible resolutions.
• Participate in ongoing learning of products, services, and system applications with a focus on customer and employee experience.
• Perform testing scripts throughout the Retail Branch Network and Deposit Operations; prepare reports to identify findings.
• Participate in core product release testing as required.
• Liaise with Retail Administration to advise on Improvement Development Plans.
• Identify issues in projects with the Operational Risk Analyst and prepare impact assessments.
• Map processes for new systems/releases and establish end-to-end workflows to strengthen controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Present findings to Retail Banking Leadership.

Join the Mascoma Bank team! The First Line Testing Analyst is responsible for supporting Retail First Line Risk testing efforts within the Retail Branch Network, by reviewing processes and best practices for self-identified risks and performing periodic branch inspections. Partners with the First Line Risk Manager to collect and review data to prepare reports on inspections completed in the Branch Network. The First Line Testing Analyst plays a role in minimizing operational risk through continuous improvement of business processes, developing quality standards, policies and procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Working closely with First Line Risk Manager and First Line Test Team Lead, responsible for inspections of all retail branch banking offices
• Develop a thorough understanding of retail policies, procedures, programs, and objectives
• Performs developed branch inspection scripts in an independent, fair and objective manner; prepare reports to identify findings and possible resolutions.
• Participates in required and ongoing learning of products, services, and system applications, with a focus on customer and employee experience.
• Performs developed testing scripts throughout the Retail Branch Network and Deposit Operations. Prepares reports to identify findings.
• Participates in core product release testing as required.
• Performs additional duties as required.
• Liaisons with Retail Administration to advise on Improvement Development Plans
• Works closely with the Operational Risk Analyst to identify issues in projects, processes and new initiative s and prepare impact assessments of your findings
• Work with business lines and Operational Risk Analyst for process mapping for development and implementation of new systems/releases. Establish end-to-end workflows that strengthen controls, improve operational effectiveness, and support successful change management.
• Consult and collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders to better understand the business requirements, processes, product needs and alternative solutions
• Presents findings of results to Retail Banking Leadership

What You'll Bring:
