Job summary

Celestica, Inc. seeks an entry training level supervisor to provide leadership to a team performing routine work within a single function. You will develop schedules, enforce policies, and direct subordinates to meet production goals using established guidelines and processes.

The role involves coordinating inputs from planning and logistics, managing resources, and ensuring timely, quality production. Strong communication and a working knowledge of ISO standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Four to six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives a daily production schedule from planning and coordinates inputs to achieve on-time production within budget.
• Identifies and resolves bottlenecks in the production process.
• Manages controllable operating expenditures (e.g., scrap, consumables) and guides continuous process improvements.
• Ensures proper conducting of return-to-work interviews and first-level disciplinary hearings.
• Maintains knowledge of production processes and the tools used in the process.
• Understands impact of decisions on customer satisfaction, quality, delivery, and unit profitability.
• Coordinates diverse resources to meet production quality/quantity metrics.
• Applies ISO standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
• Leads, trains, and motivates a diverse team to achieve high production levels under tight deadlines.
• Proficient with PC applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
