Job summary

Pratt Industries is looking for a FIRST HELPER in the PRESS DEPARTMENT to assist operators across all presses, including setup, operation, cleanup, and improvements. The role may require stepping in as operator when needed and cross-training on other machines.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in corrugated or flexo environments and a strong attention to quality and safety. Location is on-site in the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months’ experience as a Flexo Stacker is preferred.
• 6 months’ experience in the Press and Finishing Department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set-up slotting, feed, and die cut sections on machine accurately.
• Ensure bolts for cutting dies are secure.
• Check anilox rolls for damage.
• Assist operator in other duties.
• Monitor board quality and report defects to keep the machine running.
• Move up the line to operator if needed.
• Complete reports accurately and timely.
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs.
