Job summary

Jefferson County Schools in West Virginia is seeking a Supervisory First Grade ECCAT, LTS to support classroom teachers and deliver targeted numeracy and literacy assistance for Pre-K through Third Grade. The successful candidate may pursue ECCAT certifications, must complete WVDE training on reading and numeracy, and will be evaluated annually. Position is 200 days annually with pay grade F/G, commensurate with experience and education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent per WV Code §18A-2-5.
• Criminal background check as required by WV Code §18-5-15c.
• Meet WV Code definitions for qualifications and competency tests.
• If not ECCAT-certified, willingness to enroll in ECCAT courses.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and material distribution.
• Conduct learning activities and small-group instruction.
• Maintain attendance and safety in the classroom.
• Support transportation, bus supervision as assigned.
• Attend in-services and adhere to policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity.
• Assist in implementing lessons aligned to district objectives.
• Provide support across Pre-K to Third Grade as needed.
