Job summary

Canals is looking for its first Assistant General Counsel to oversee commercial contracts, manage a wide range of legal matters, and build scalable processes. This role will enable you to work with every vertical within our growing tech company, offering broad exposure to commercial, corporate, and strategic legal matters.

As part of a remote-first team across the Americas, you'll draft agreements, advise on legal risks, and manage relationships with outside counsel while positioned at the intersection of legal and business growth.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience, including 2-3 years at an Am Law 100 law firm.
• Expertise in handling complex deals with legal risks.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize demands.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and close enterprise SaaS/AI agreements.
• Build contract templates and negotiation playbook.
• Manage vendor and partner agreements.
