Job summary

HELLO Recruitment is seeking its first finance leader to build the finance function for a scaling CPG brand. You’ll personally manage close processes, cash, and controls while shaping systems and processes for a growing finance team.

You’ll partner with the CEO/COO on cash, capital, and strategic decisions, with eventual team building as the company scales. This role is remote with national scope and high visibility across leadership.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in finance with CPG experience
• End-to-end ownership of accounting operations with a lean finance team
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• Trade spend and deduction management experience
• Experience with major retailers and distributors

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations as the first finance hire
• Build processes and controls from scratch: close calendar, chart of accounts, approvals, and reporting cadence
• Manage cash flow forecasting across trade spend and inventory financing
• Lead cost accounting for co-manufactured products and analyze margins by SKU/channel/retailer
• Produce monthly financials, budget-to-actual analyses, and board reporting
• Manage banking relationships and working-capital financing (inventory or receivables lines)
• Support fundraising with financial modeling and board prep
• Select and implement systems (ERP, IMS, BI); Confido experience is a plus
