Job summary

Northwood Space is hiring its first Cost Accountant to build and own the cost accounting function as we scale from development to production. You will establish processes, methodologies, and controls for inventory, COGS, and product costs while supporting the business today.

Working closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Program teams, you will create a scalable cost accounting foundation, drive standard costing, and improve cost visibility as we grow our hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of cost, inventory, or manufacturing accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the cost accounting function with scalable processes.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, reconciliations.
• Develop standard costing and analyze variances to improve cost accuracy.
• Own inventory accounting and valuation with ERP integration.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering to translate activity into costs.
