Job summary

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a Seasonal Cook to join the culinary team at Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The role supports a Spring/Summer season with opportunities for growth and internal mobility within Delaware North properties nationwide.

You will clean, prep, and assist in food production in a fast-paced park setting, with duties covering opening/closing, inventory, and waste control. Housing and meal options are available where applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand recipes.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a team player, following procedures and taking directions.
• Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements.
• No experience or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items to health standards.
• Adhere to portion sizes and quality benchmarks.
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized and stocked.
• Record waste on the spoilage sheet and follow waste controls.
• Clean kitchen area and storage areas, organize wares.
• Receive and check deliveries for quantity and quality.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Pay

What will you do?

• Clean, by hand or machine: dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items, ensuring all sanitizer levels on dish machines and pot sinks are at the specific requirements for health standards
• Comply with food preparation standards by adhering to specified portion sizes and quality benchmarks
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
• Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
• Clean work area including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking area, keeping the kitchen wares storage organized
• Remove trash, recycle, and compost from the dish room and transport it to the correct dumpster, as well as clean and sanitize the garbage cans
• Receive and check deliveries for quantity and quality
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory
