Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a detail-oriented Prep Assembler to support first article and prototype cable/connector builds. You will prepare materials, ensure cleanliness and surface prep, and stage fixtures for reliable assembly.

Responsibilities include sanding, polishing, deburring, and inspecting components to meet drawings and work instructions, while following safety and 5S guidelines. Strong soldering and tool-handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years in electromechanical assembly.
• Experience with cable assemblies, connectors or electromechanical components preferred.
• Previous cell lead experience and training others preferred.
• IPC/J Standard soldering training and certification highly preferred.
• Proficient soldering: through-hole and surface mount.
• Experience using hand and power tools (drills, sanders, etc.).
• Understanding of mechanical hardware assembly.
• Advanced knowledge of blueprints, BOMs and drawings.
• Able to read/write/speak English and follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills and math ability required.
• 5S/Lean manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Person.
