The successful candidate will be part of the Software V&V group, collaborating closely with R&D to develop test methods and test cases for medical device embedded firmware and manufacturing test software. Responsibilities include working with engineering teams to report defects, verify solutions, and support automation of manual tests through scripting and collaboration with automation developers.

Summary of Job Duties:

• Create test methods and test cases for firmware requirement verification.
• Conduct firmware requirement verification and document test results.
• Create test plans and reports, recording observed defects.
• Perform regression and other tests during software development and verification phases.
• Support testing needs of firmware developers.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to enhance testing frameworks.
• Design and develop test setup fixtures with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience:

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years of firmware testing or related experience.
• Experience with firmware testing from concept to production and maintenance.
• Proficiency with test and measurement equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Programmable Power Supply, DMM).
• Ability to interpret datasheets and schematics.
• Experience with configuration management and issue tracking.
• Knowledge of medical device software lifecycle (IEC 62304) is preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in multidisciplinary teams.
