Join a firmware quality team that tests embedded software inside Class II cardiac monitoring devices and the desktop applications that support them. You will learn how quality engineers examine requirements, design tests, document evidence, and investigate failures before software reaches patients and internal customers. We are looking for a systematic, detail-orientated, and proactive Firmware Quality Assurance Engineer - Co-op who has an interest in medical devices and in trying to break them! You would design and execute tests in support of our Class II cardiac monitoring devices and their supporting software infrastructure. In this role, you will act as an advocate for the quality of our software, both from the perspective of our patients and our internal customers, working primarily with firmware written in C and with C#/.NET windows desktop applications.
This is a full-time, six-month Engineering Internship / Cooperative Education (Co-op) assignment for a current student. It offers internship-style learning, mentorship, and meaningful project work, but it is not a traditional summer internship. Candidates must be available for the full January through June 2027 assignment in San Francisco.
Full-time | January through June 2027 | San Francisco, California | $35.00 per hour
Housing assistance or a housing stipend is not provided. Candidates are responsible for arranging and funding their own housing during the assignment.
