Job summary

Copeland is seeking a seasoned Firmware Engineering Manager to lead our embedded systems team in developing secure, scalable IoT products. You will ensure the SDLC meets regulatory requirements and align CRA standards while guiding security-by-design across hardware and software.

You will mentor engineers, drive secure coding, perform code reviews, and collaborate with Product, Hardware, Legal, and Cloud teams to deliver timely patches and OTA updates throughout product lifecycles.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in embedded firmware development for IoT devices; in-engineering leadership roles preferred.
• Experience implementing firmware security primitives: Secure Boot, TPM/HSM, TLS/mTLS, secure storage.
• Familiarity with CRA/EU standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the embedded firmware team to design and implement secure firmware architectures and update mechanisms.
• Drive OTA update security, vulnerability management, and regulatory conformity activities.
• Collaborate with Product, Hardware, Legal/Compliance and Cloud teams to align hardware security features with standards.
