Job summary

Atomic Machines is hiring an Electrical Integration Engineer (Firmware Focus) to bring up and integrate the electrical and software-controlled subsystems used in our custom manufacturing equipment. You will work hands-on at the bench and on machines, collaborating with electrical, embedded systems, software, and mechanical engineers to create reliable, maintainable systems.

You will own integration of modules, develop diagnostic software, validate sensors and actuators, and resolve issues

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant engineering experience or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience building, bringing up, or troubleshooting electromechanical hardware.
Ability to read schematics, block diagrams, pinouts, interface documents, and component datasheets.
Experience bringing up electrical modules and interfacing with sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and common communication buses.

Responsibilities

Own bring-up and integration for software-controlled machine modules and subsystems.
Develop Python device interfaces, diagnostic software, test scripts, and validation tools.
Integrate and validate sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and common communication interfaces.
Troubleshoot failures spanning electronics, firmware, wiring, configuration, and mechanical behavior.
Define bring-up procedures, expected measurements, diagnostics, and subsystem acceptance tests.
