Job summary

Atomic Machines is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical architecture for our advanced machine control systems. You will design and integrate custom electronics within a multi-processor, modular framework, collaborating closely with embedded software and mechanical teams.

We value hands-on, self-motivated engineers who make decisions with incomplete information and deliver rapid proofs of concept. The role is 100% onsite in California with equity and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Schematic entry, layout, and library management (Altium Designer preferred).
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python for bring-up and test scripts.
• Strong background in mixed-signal circuit design.
• Familiar with sensors and actuators; knowledge of signal integrity/EMI/ESD handling.

Responsibilities

• Participate in system architecture definition and drive electrical architecture.
• Design and build custom electronics for automated manufacturing systems.
• Integrate third-party electronics.
• Support building of engineering fixtures.
• Create and maintain component and module libraries for reuse.
• Generate manufacturing data and interact with vendors.
• Collaborate with embedded systems, software, and mechanical engineering teams.
