Atomic Machines is seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer (Electromechanical Focus) to design and troubleshoot electrical systems for custom manufacturing equipment in Emeryville or Santa Clara, CA.
You will own electrical integration of electromechanical modules, selecting sensors, actuators, and third‑party electronics, and guiding first‑article build, bring‑up, and documentation. Strong cross‑functional collaboration is essential to turn prototypes into reliable, serviceable designs.
Emeryville or Santa Clara, California.
Atomic Machines is ushering in a new era of micromanufacturing with its Matter Compiler™ technology platform. This platform enables new classes of micromachines to be designed and built by providing manufacturing processes and a materials library that are inaccessible to semiconductor manufacturing methods. It unlocks MEMS manufacturing for device classes that could never be produced by semiconductor methods, and enables entirely new categories. The platform is a multi‑process, multi‑material system: bits and raw materials go in, and complete, functional micromachines come out.
Atomic Machines is hiring Electrical Integration Engineers (Electromechanical Focus) to design, build, document, and troubleshoot the electrical systems used in our custom manufacturing equipment. You will own the electrical integration of electromechanical modules and subsystems, from selecting and interfacing sensors, actuators, and third‑party electronics through first‑article build, bring‑up, validation, and documentation. Interconnect design, prototype implementation, fixture development, physical integration, and packaging are key parts of the work, along with troubleshooting across electronics, wiring, firmware, and mechanisms. You will work closely with electrical, mechanical, embedded systems, and manufacturing engineers to turn early prototypes into reliable, repeatable, and serviceable designs.
The compensation for this position includes equity and benefits.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000 USD.
