Job summary

Atomic Machines in Emeryville, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and integrate control electronics for our automated manufacturing nodes. You will work on a multiprocessor system with networking, machine control, vision and motion.

You'll collaborate with embedded software and mechanical teams, build test fixtures, and develop reusable component libraries while enabling rapid iteration and bring-up of new hardware.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of working experience as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Hands-on, quick build and test of concepts.
  • Familiar with sensors and actuators.
  • Excellent bring-up and debugging skills.
  • Ability to write microcontroller bring-up code in C/C++ and Python test scripts.
  • Good documentation habits and first-principles thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build custom electronics for automated manufacturing systems.
  • Integrate third-party electronics and test fixtures.
  • Support the building of engineering fixtures.
  • Create and maintain component libraries for reuse.
  • Generate manufacturing data and coordinate with vendors.
  • Collaborate with embedded, software, and mechanical teams.
