Job summary

Edgerun in Palo Alto is seeking a Firmware Engineer to write code for the world's most advanced powered exoskeleton used by soldiers in active combat. You will work with our Embedded Systems team on real-time control, sensing, and engineering data collection that informs design decisions.

You will see your code run on hardware within weeks, and you will contribute to field tests and on-the-ground debugging, turning field issues into rapid fixes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (EE/CE/CS or related).
• 2+ years embedded firmware experience on field hardware.
• Proficiency in embedded C/C++ and real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement control algorithms and the sensing that feeds them.
• Write and debug firmware for motor control, sensors, and communications.
• Build the data collection that turns every session in the field into engineering data.
• Support testing and debugging on real hardware, including field tests.
• Turn what breaks in the field into a fix quickly.
