Job summary

Precision Neuroscience is seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern in New York to help develop embedded software for our next-generation brain-computer interfaces. You will learn and contribute to production software, working closely with a tight-knit firmware team and experts from other disciplines.

This position is based in our New York office; we are unable to consider remote workers or those not legally authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with embedded systems ( coursework, projects, internships)
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python
• Experienced in working with microcontrollers (e.g. Nordic / NXP / STM / ...)
• Skilled at writing unit tests and clear software documentation
• Familiar with debugging tools such as the GNU Debugger and serial printing
• Comfortable using lab equipment to debug hardware and firmware (signal generators / logic analyzers / oscilloscopes / DMMs / ...)

Responsibilities

• You will be a key contributor to the development and testing of embedded software for our cutting-edge brain computer interfaces.
• You are a great communicator, and you excel at collaborating with others and presenting your work. You will be regularly presenting your progress and findings to both technical and non-technical collaborators.
• Safety is at the heart of our ethos at Precision - and it is for you too. Candidates for this role must have a strong intuition and affinity for testing. You will actively contributing to our suite of tests.
