Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is seeking a Masters-level Firmware Engineering intern/co-op in the United States. The role centers on designing, implementing, and debugging firmware for AMD's discrete and embedded products, with exposure to pre-silicon emulation and hardware interfaces.

You will participate in design and code reviews, build clear docs, and collaborate across teams, applying AGILE processes to deliver hardware-software solutions during the co-op/ internship term.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a US university in a Master's program (EE/CS/CE).
Strong knowledge of C/C++, firmware, and hardware architectures.
Experience with embedded systems, RTOS, and hardware-software debugging.
Familiarity with Linux development and version control tools.

Responsibilities

Craft, implement, debug, and validate firmware features on reference hardware and simulators.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and project planning.
Develop clear documentation for software produced.
Work on internal and external platforms and apply AGILE methodologies.
Contribute to embedded firmware, Bootrom/HW, and FW/HW debugging.
