Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. invites undergrad firmware engineering interns/co-ops to contribute to firmware for AMD's discrete and embedded products. You will craft, implement, and validate features on reference hardware, engage in pre-silicon emulation, and participate in design and code reviews while building clear documentation.

You will learn AGILE methods, work across hybrid or onsite settings, and gain hands-on experience with embedded firmware within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Enthusiastic about firmware, embedded systems and hardware/software interaction.

Responsibilities

• Craft, implement, debug, and validate features on reference hardware and software.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews and project planning.
• Build clear documentation for all software produced.
• Work on both internal and external platforms.
• Learn and apply AGILE methodologies and standard software engineering processes.
• Involve in design and implementation of embedded firmware, bootrom/HW and debugging FW/HW issues.
