Job summary

Goodman Manufacturing seeks an experienced embedded firmware engineer to develop and integrate firmware for HVAC consumer appliances and Smart Home devices. You will work on Air Handler, Furnace, Thermostat and IoT Edge devices, translating complex requirements into robust firmware solutions.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering with computer engineering focus is required.
3–5 years of embedded firmware experience.
Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ for microcontrollers.
Experience with RS-485 communication and hardware-software integration.
Familiarity with software testing and verification techniques.

Responsibilities

Develop firmware for consumer appliances and Smart Home devices.
Create embedded C code based on flow charts and state diagrams.
Implement firmware stack for RS-485 based communication.
Collaborate with hardware engineers for firmware-hardware integration.
Perform bench/lab testing and debugging with oscilloscopes and debuggers.
