Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc in Wisconsin seeks a Firmware Engineer II to develop firmware for embedded controls in C/C++. Role involves RTOS, state machines, and MC interfacing across NTI prototypes and production handos. Travel to other Generac sites and customer visits expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
• Minimum two years of embedded programming experience in C/C++.
• Experience with RTOS, state machines and MCU interfacing (I2C, SPI, EEPROM).
• Knowledge of firmware design, testing and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide firmware for embedded controllers in C and interface definitions.
• Develop new control algorithms and test in lab and prototypes.
• Create and maintain design documentation and firmware repositories.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to specify interfaces and algorithms.
