Job summary

Generac is seeking an Firmware Engineer II for Advance Commercial Technology to develop firmware for embedded controls used in NTI prototypes and R&D projects. You will contribute to design, testing, and auto-code generation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work with C/C++ in embedded environments, utilize Simulink, Python, and GitHub for code management, and participate in design reviews across multiple Generac units. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of embedded programming experience with C/C++/C#.
• Knowledge of communication protocols/hardware interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide firmware for embedded controls and support auto-code generation.
• Design/develop application firmware for embedded controllers in C, defining interfaces.
• Develop new firmware/modules and maintain documentation.
• Create and execute test specs for NTI systems and firmware.
