Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Firmware Engineer II for its Advance Commercial Technology group. The role focuses on providing firmware for embedded controls used in new technology research and development projects, including support for auto-code generation.

You will design control algorithms, develop firmware modules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify interfaces and perform lab and prototype testing. Occasional travel and documentation duties apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• 2 years of embedded programming experience in C/C++/C#.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide development support for NTI prototypes and transfers to Generac business units.
• Design and develop firmware for embedded controllers in C; define interfaces and create firmware for communication interfaces and/or algorithms.
• Develop new firmware modules and maintain supporting documentation.
