The role requires 5+ years in firmware, expertise with ARM Cortex-M0/M0+, I2C, SWD, and strong English communication. You will work closely with manufacturing, participate in ramp-up activities, and mentor peers.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of firmware development.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M0/M0+ and embedded solutions from sub 32KB of Flash and up.
• Good understanding of I2C and debugging a bit-banged bus.
• Experience developing page-based host interfaces for I2C Slaves (CMIS, SFF devices).
• SWD debugging and source control habits.
• Excellent English reading and writing ability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug and support firmware for active high speed IO cables and thermal loopbacks.
• Contribute as a key firmware resource on product teams turning concepts into producible hardware.
• Provide engineering support to tune communication settings and interfaces.
• Collaborate with developers responsible for manufacturing applications.
• Provide firmware support for qualification, testing and manufacturing.
• Mentor other team members as needed.
• Ensure firmware is well documented and maintainable by others.
• Visit Amphenol manufacturing plants during ramp up as needed.
