Job summary

Broadcom Inc. in Fort Collins, CO seeks a Firmware Engineer to architect, design, and implement low-level firmware modules and diagnostic software for PHY chipsets.

You will work across the full development lifecycle with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance embedded solutions. The role requires a BSEE (MSEE preferred), 8+ years in digital comms or related high-speed protocols, and strong C/C++ coding and debugging skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a BSEE; MS EE preferred.
• 8+ years of industry experience in digital communication, high-speed SerDes, or HBM protocols.
• Strong C/C++ coding and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive software design and development for new products while maintaining legacy systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system, analog, and digital hardware designers.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex firmware applications in embedded C/C++.
• Provide leadership in architectural governance, design patterns, and code hygiene.
