Job summary

Solidigm, headquartered in Rancho Cordova, CA, seeks a seasoned firmware build and release engineer to own scalable build systems and the end-to-end release pipeline for SSD firmware. You will manage Git workflows, Docker-based environments, and toolchain optimization in a hybrid, collaborative setting.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with firmware, hardware, and IT teams, continuous process improvement, and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of combined experience in embedded software/firmware development and build systems.
• Experience with Git-based source control and complex merge/rebase workflows.
• Containerization with Docker and image lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable firmware build systems for SSD products across architectures.
• Own the end-to-end firmware release pipeline from code freeze to packaging and delivery.
• Manage branching strategies, gating criteria, and release quality across generations.
• Administer and optimize Git repositories across hosting platforms and manage complex merges/rebases.
• Maintain Docker-based build environments and integrate containerized builds into CI/CD.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, CMake, Make) and maintain build/release documentation.
