Job summary

Utitlities Company in Tampa, FL is seeking a Firewall Administrator for a 1-year contract, onsite 3 days per week. The role involves upgrading, deploying, and implementing new firewalls with focus on VPNs, regulatory-compliant ICS protocols, and multiple large-scale upgrades.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of firewall experience, VPN expertise, and familiarity with Check Point or other major firewall platforms. Location is Tampa, with after-hours work for implementations as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of firewall upgrade, deployment and implementation experience.
• VPN creation, configuration and troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding of ICS protocols (ICS, Modbus, CIP) in a regulatory environment (SOCs, NERC CIP, etc).
• Check Point preferred, but experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco or Sophos acceptable.
• Fundamental understanding of routing and switching.

Responsibilities

• Support firewall tickets and investigations.
• Troubleshoot firewalls and create firewall rules when needed.
• Time spent implementing new VPNs and troubleshooting VPNs.
• Support multiple large firewall upgrades across the organization.

Work Authorization: USC or GC ONLY
