Job summary

Utitlities Company is seeking a Firewall Administrator for a 1-year contract in Tampa, FL. The role involves upgrading, deploying, and implementing firewalls with emphasis on VPN work and regulatory compliance. Willingness to work after hours for implementations is required.

Three plus years of firewall experience, VPN expertise, and familiarity with ICS/SCADA protocols are essential. Check Point experience is preferred but other platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos) are acceptable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience upgrading, deploying, and implementing new firewalls.
• VPN creation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of ICS protocols (ICS, Modbus, CIP) – experience in a regulatory environment (SOCs, NERC CIP).
• Check Point Firewalls preferred; other platforms accepted (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos).
• Fundamental understanding of routing and switching.

Responsibilities

• Support firewall tickets and investigations.
• Troubleshoot firewalls and create firewall rules.
• Implement new VPNs and troubleshoot VPNs.
• Support multiple large firewall upgrades in the organization.

Client: Utitlities Company

Position: Firewall Administrator

Term: 1 year contract

Pay:$57/Hr - $60/Hr

Location: Tampa, FL 3 days on site

Note:After hours work should be expected for implementations 7pm EST or MT at least once a week.

Work Authorization: USC or GC ONLY

Experience:

• 3+ Years of experience upgrading, deploying, and implementing new firewalls
• VPN knowledge: creation, configuration, troubleshooting
• Understanding of IC S protocols (ICS, Modbus, CIP) -Experience in a Regulatory business (Socs, Nerc cip, etc)
• Check Point Firewalls preferred, but experience with some firewall platform in Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco or Sophos
• Fundamental Understanding of routing and switching

Responsibilities:

• Supporting firewall tickets and investigations
• Troubleshooting Firewalls and creating firewall rules if it doesn’t work.
• Their time will be spent implementing new VPNs and troubleshooting VPNs.
• They will be supporting multiple large firewall upgrades in the organization.
