Job summary

Pechanga Tribal Government is seeking a firefighter reserve who participates in all phases of emergency operations, conducts fire suppression, medical response, and public safety education. The role includes station maintenance, drills, and community outreach while maintaining required certifications and a valid driver’s license.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, be 18+, and hold CPR/BLS, EMT Fire Service, and Firefighter I certifications, plus HazMat FRO and Confined Space Rescue

Qualifications

• High School diploma or CHSPE certificate required.
• Must be 18+ at time of application.
• CPR, BLS required.
• EMT Fire Service certification required.
• California Firefighter Academy or Fire Marshal I Certification required.
• HAZ-MAT FRO certification required.
• Confined Space Rescue Awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Responds as a team member on an assigned company for emergencies and non-emergencies.
• Performs firefighting tasks including hose lines, ladders, and rescue work.
• Assists in drills and training activities.
• Conducts fire prevention inspections and public safety education.
• Maintains equipment, station, and grounds.
• Drives utility vehicles and operates equipment.
• Provides emergency medical care as a firefighter.
• Adheres to departmental policies and reports changes in contact information.
