Job summary

Mariposa County Fire Department seeks a Reserve Firefighter I to support firefighting operations and station maintenance. You will respond to emergency calls, assist in public safety education, and perform custodial duties at County Fire Stations while learning essential fire suppression and prevention skills.

Applicants may have volunteer or paid firefighting experience; training to obtain required certifications will be provided by the department.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and custodial duties at County Fire Stations.
• Repairs water lines and maintains station grounds.
• Assists in fire prevention inspections and public safety education.
• Responds to emergency calls as part of a fire company.
• Operates radios and illumination generators; administers first aid.
• Lays and connects hose lines; advances water streams; climbs ladders.
• Participates in drills and training sessions; maintains equipment and records.
