Job summary

City of Horseshoe Bay Fire Department seeks a dedicated firefighter with Basic Firefighter Certification and EMT-B. You will respond to fires, EMS calls, HazMat, and inspections, while maintaining equipment and participating in training.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Texas certifications, and license eligibility. You will help in public safety education, equipment upkeep, and records management.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related experience or training required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred EMT-B and firefighter certifications.
• Must meet ongoing CE requirements and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires, EMS calls, and hazardous incidents per dept. procedures.
• Conduct life safety presentations and fire prevention education.
• Perform inspections and maintain equipment and stations.
• Drive and operate emergency vehicles and rescue tools when assigned.
• Prepare logs, reports, and training records; participate in drills.
