Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class B Exempt Driver's License or ability to obtain within six months.
• Firefighter certification from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP).
• EMT-Paramedic EMT-P certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) or National Registry.
• All licenses and certifications must remain current and valid.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency alarms and calls for service; performs fire suppression, rescue, and EMS duties.
• Inspects and maintains department facilities, vehicles, equipment, and hydrants; tests and repairs equipment.
• Operates firefighting, rescue, medical tools; coordinates with law enforcement and other responders.
• Conducts public education sessions and participates in prevention programs.
• Maintains station living quarters and supports training and station readiness.
