Job summary

Town of Orange Park seeks a Firefighter/Paramedic to protect life and property through fire suppression and EMS care. You will perform EMT/Paramedic procedures, maintain equipment, and follow SOPs under supervision while contributing to station readiness.

You must hold Florida Firefighter and Paramedic certifications, a valid Florida Class D driver's license, and BLS/ALS; position includes shift work, on-call responses, and ongoing training within the Fire Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• State of Florida Firefighter Certificate.
• State of Florida Paramedic Certification.
• Valid Florida Class D Driver’s License.
• Valid Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid Advanced Life Support Certification.
• Emergency Vehicle Operator’s Course Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms and emergencies to save lives and property.
• Maintain station and equipment in clean, serviceable condition.
• Perform EMT/Paramedic procedures and maintain readiness of EMS equipment.
• Complete patient care reports within SOP timelines.
• Follow department rules and chain of command during operations.
