Job summary

City of Kissimmee is seeking a dedicated firefighter/EMT-Paramedic to respond to emergencies, administer life support, and transport patients to facilities. The role requires strong knowledge of EMS protocols, vehicle operation, and incident command.

Training, prevention education, and leadership of junior personnel are key components of the position. We value experience in fire suppression, medical response, and the ability to work under demanding conditions, including long shifts and on-call

Qualifications

Must hold Florida FF I & II and Paramedic certification.
Current CPR, ACLS, EVOC and driving license required.
Successful CJIS fingerprint background check and periodic recertification.
Proven ability to operate and communicate on emergency equipment and vehicles.

Responsibilities

Respond to emergencies including fires, medical and hazmat calls; provide EMS at EMT/Paramedic level.
Administer life support, document care, and coordinate with dispatch and hospital staff.
Train, lead and supervise junior fire personnel; conduct public safety education.
Maintain equipment, perform station tasks and assist in fire prevention programs.
