Job summary

City of Dunedin Fire Rescue is seeking a Firefighter/Paramedic to respond to emergencies, provide advanced medical care, and operate fire suppression and EMS equipment. The role requires Florida Firefighter II and Paramedic certifications, ACLS, and adherence to medical protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires Florida Firefighter II certification.
• Requires Florida Paramedic license and related certifications (ACLS, PHTLS).
• Paramedic certification must be current and in good standing; ability to obtain Pinellas EMS Paramedic certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Responds to fire, medical and other emergency calls.
• Provides emergency medical treatment at the Paramedic level and transports patients as needed.
• Operates fire apparatus and emergency medical equipment; maintains vehicles and equipment.
• Performs life support, CPR, medication administration, wound care and patient assessment.
• Participates in training, safety inspections, and disaster preparedness activities.
