Job summary

The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District seeks highly motivated Firefighter/Paramedics to join a dedicated team serving Contra Costa County. You will engage in a 48x96 schedule, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to specialty teams (HazMat, Rescue, CERT) while delivering advanced life support and community education.

Eligible candidates must hold a CA Paramedic license with ACLS, CPAT, and a valid CA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid California Paramedic license with ACLS certification at time of appointment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Valid CA driver’s license; Firefighter Endorsement/ CDL with endorsements by end of probation.
• Current Health Care Provider CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide firefighting and advanced life support in various settings (residential, commercial, wildland, EMS).
• Participate in probationary academy and paramedic provisional assignment.
• Engage in training, committees, and specialty teams (HazMat, Rescue, CERT).
• Support wellness evaluations and community training initiatives.
