Job summary

Town of Lee is seeking a Paramedic to provide pre-hospital care and assist with fire protection. You will respond to emergencies, transport patients, and operate under the Chief and Officers of the Lee Fire Department, with duties occasionally performed unsupervised under a predetermined schedule.

The role also includes indoor administrative tasks, equipment maintenance, purchasing within pre-approved limits, processing patient records for billing, and sometimes public tours.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or GED.
• National and/or Massachusetts Certified Paramedic.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts OEMS pre-hospital protocols and regulations pertaining to Massachusetts Ambulance Law.
• Minimum 2 years experience in the field at the paramedic level.
• Ability to communicate well with others.
• Organizational skills and ability to work unsupervised.
• Experienced certified firefighter preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency scenes to provide paramedic level pre-hospital care.
• Provide fire protection and respond to fire-related incidents.
• Operate computer and office equipment; process patient records for billing.
• Purchase equipment and supplies to a pre-approved monetary limit.
• Conduct public tours of the facility as required.
• Work under the supervision of the Chief and Officers; perform duties according to schedule.
