Job summary

Town of Danville Fire Department seeks a dedicated Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic to perform firefighting, EMS, and rescue duties in a demanding environment. You will protect lives and property while maintaining equipment and supporting station operations.

Role requires responding to 911 incidents, using PPE and breathing apparatus, and coordinating with team members to ensure rapid, safe patient care and incident stabilization.

Qualifications

• Must maintain Indiana EMT or Paramedic certification.
• Must maintain CPR certification.
• Must possess a valid Indiana Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Don the appropriate PPE and respond quickly to emergencies; operate safely under all conditions.
• Lay and connect hose, position hoses, and direct water streams to suppress fires.
• Enter burning structures and perform rescue, salvage and overhaul as required.
• Administer emergency medical care and coordinate with EMS on scene.
• Operate fire apparatus and pump, and perform vehicle and equipment maintenance as directed.
• Communicate clearly over radio and in writing; keep accurate incident logs.

Education
