Job summary

High Point Fire Department in High Point, NC is seeking a full-time Firefighter/EMT-B tojoin a dynamic team responding to fires and medical emergencies. You will operate fire apparatus, perform rescue operations, and maintain readiness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class C North Carolina Driver’s License or equivalent.
• Understanding of OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Suits-out in PPE, boards apparatus, and responds to emergency calls.
• Loads and operates fire hoses to control and extinguish fires.
• Climbs ladders and performs firefighting and rescue operations.
• Provides EMT-B level medical care and CPR.
• Uses ropes and hoists to aid rescue operations.
• Maintains tools and equipment and supports public education efforts.
