Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NC Class C driver's license required.
• Certified NC Firefighter II or higher credential required.
• Possession of a valid NC EMT credential.
• CPR (AHA) certification required.
• Completion of NIMS/ICS 100, 200, 700, 800.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural firefighting, vehicle extrication, and emergency medical care.
• Maintain readiness of apparatus, equipment, and facilities.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment daily for proper condition and operation.
• Refuel vehicles and report unsafe conditions.
• Attend mandatory training per NC EMS guidelines.
• Assist with fire prevention, pre-planning, inspections, and equipment testing.
• Perform station duties to keep quarters clean and orderly.
