Job summary

Lancaster County Fire Rescue seeks a Van Wyck Firefighter to be stationed at Van Wyck FD on day shift. You will respond to alarms, extinguish fires, protect lives and property, and maintain equipment.

Requirements include a High School diploma with firefighter training I/II, Hazmat Technician within year, Emergency Vehicle Driver Training, and two years of active fire service experience preferred. CDL with tanker endorsement may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with firefighter training and first aid.
• Hazmat Technician required in the first year.
• Pump operations experience required.
• Two years of active fire service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire alarms and emergency calls and control fires.
• Perform fire inspections and pre-fire planning.
• Maintain fire equipment and perform minor vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Report to Fire Rescue Director through chain of command.
