Job summary

Dorchester County seeks a Firefighter to respond to fire and emergency medical calls, perform firefighting and suppression duties, and provide on-scene medical assistance. The role requires working 48 hours on and 96 hours off, including weekends and holidays.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a SC driver’s license, IFSAC/Pro Board Firefighter I, NIMS-ICS 100/200/700/800, and First Aid/CPR/AED. A safety-sensitive position with random drug testing is in place.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina state driver’s license.
• IFSAC/Pro Board Firefighter I certification.
• NIMS-ICS 100, 200, 700, 800.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform firefighting and fire suppression activities.
• Administer emergency first aid on scene.
