Job summary

The City of Manchester Fire Department is seeking a Firefighter-EMT to protect the community through firefighting, EMS and related emergency services. Duties include fire suppression, rescue operations, medical responses, and inter-agency coordination within Manchester and mutual aid communities.

Qualified candidates must be at least 18, possess a CDL-B license with HazMat and an EMT certification, and have a NH Firefighter II credential. Pay range is $29.09–$41.47 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• EMT certification is required.
• 18 years of age and CDL-B within 2 years of hire; HazMat Ops certificate.
• State NH Firefighter II certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to structural fires, performs search and rescue, lays hoses and operates pumps.
• Provides emergency medical responses at BLS/ALS levels.
• Inspects buildings and facilities for hazards; participates in drills and training.
• Maintains readiness through daily classes and physical fitness training.
• Coordinates with other agencies and departments to ensure public safety.
