Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED plus college-equivalent fire/EMS training.
• Requires 6 months experience in firefighting or EMS.
• Requires Colorado driver's license and CPAT certification.
• Requires Colorado EMS certification (NREMT/EMT) with provisional license as applicable.
• Requires AHA BLS and IFSAC/Pro-Board Firefighter I/II.
• Requires HazMat Awareness/Operations certifications.
• Requires IFSAC/Pro-Board Driver Operator.
• Requires NWCG S130/190 within 1 year.
• Able to obtain IIS IS100/200/700 within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Responds to fire, hazmat, rescue, and medical calls and provides patient care.
• Maintains readiness by inspecting equipment and apparatus daily.
• Attends EMS training and may supervise EMS functions as needed.
• Completes emergency reports and orders medical supplies per guidelines.
• Works 48-hour shifts at fire stations.
