Job summary

The City of Superior is accepting applications for Firefighter positions in the Fire Department. The role covers firefighting, EMS, and maintenance of rigs and quarters. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with fire-related training or education.
• Must possess Firefighter I and Firefighter II certifications at time of hire.
• EMT-B certification at time of hire and AEMT by Jan 1, 2029 or within 3 years of probation.

Responsibilities

• Responds to a variety of emergency alarms including structure fires, car fires, EMS calls and rescues.
• Raises and climbs ladders and uses firefighting tools.
• Performs routine station duties: cleaning, maintenance, and pre-plans.
• Participates in fire prevention education and inspections as assigned.
• Maintains equipment and assists in building and grounds upkeep.
